Tania Szabó

Tania Szabó (b.1942) is the daughter of SOE agent Violette and French Foreign Legion Officer Etienne Szabó. Her father was killed in 1942 at the Battle of El Alamein. Her mother was captured in 1944 and died at Ravensbrück concentration camp in 1945. In addition to speaking with Tania at her home on Jersey Island, she brought us to the Jersey War Tunnels and the Szabó Exhibition which celebrates the life and contributions of her family. Tania is the author of Young, Brave and Beautiful (2007), which is the story of her mother’s life and SOE missions.
